Sabbath Worship Experience | Picking Your Person
There seems to be a problem in the church. A big problem. There are many who are looking for a life partner, but find themselves in a situation where choices appear to be far and few between. Sure, that could be chalked up to the fact that the ratio between women and men in the church is imbalanced, but it may be deeper than that. Though the Bible speaks of singleness as a gift, and according to the Apostle Paul, more believers should gladly embrace their singleness, many can’t help the longing for a meaningful and lasting partnership. And when we read scriptures about God giving us the desires of our heart, along with being raised on all the princess animated films, we’re conditioned to believe that everyone has a person they’ve been created for, and that all we need to do is wait on God’s timing. In this new series, we’re going to delve into the topics of singleness and coupling through the Bible’s first romantic fairytale pairing. We’re going to look at the relationship between Isaac and Rebekah and attempt to discover how to pick your partner. Even if you’re already in a relationship, this series is still for you as we learn how to continue to pick our partner.
